Welcome to the research study!
Language attrition in multilingual foster children, international adoptees, and migrants: a mixed-methods approach.
You are invited to take part in a new study at the University of Essex. We would like to learn more about your experience growing up speaking a minority home language in England. We are hoping to find out how these experiences may have affected your minority language.
You will be taking part in a short survey (20 minutes) where you will fill out a quick self-assessment about your home language skills, answer a few questions on your background, and then a few questions about your language use and experiences.
You are free to withdraw from this study at any point you may wish to, with no penalty and no questions asked.
Your responses will help us understand of how we can improve support for children in foster care who also speak a minority home language. We are very grateful for your choice to participate in our survey.
If you would like to contact the Principal Investigator in the study to discuss this research, please e-mail: Claudia Cojocaru (cpc530@york.ac.uk).
